Privacy Policy — Throne of Power

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Throne of Power ("we", "us") collects when you use the Throne of Power Discord bot, the throneofpower.net website, and related features (the "Service"), and how we use, share, and protect it. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

2. Information We Collect

a. From Discord

Your Discord user ID, username, discriminator/handle, and avatar — used to identify your Player record and to display your name/avatar in-game and on the website;
Server (guild) IDs and channel IDs where the bot is used, and role information relevant to features like VIP/SUPER VIP or clan roles;
Message content only in channels the bot is explicitly configured to read for a feature (for example, the chat-global relay channel) — we do not read your private messages or channels the bot hasn't been given access to.

b. Account & gameplay data

Your Player profile: level, XP, stats, inventory, currencies (TOPC/GEM/CHIPS), clan membership, match history, and similar in-game records;
Website session data: a signed session cookie created after you log in with Discord OAuth2, so the website knows who you are on later visits;
Uploaded images you choose to provide, such as a custom avatar or club banner.

c. Blockchain & wallet data

A public Solana wallet address, if you choose to link one (for example, to verify NFT ownership or complete a Trade Economy conversion);
Publicly-visible on-chain transaction data (such as transaction signatures) that we look up to verify a payment you made — we only ever look up transactions relevant to verifying your own payment, and we never request or store your seed phrase or private keys.

d. Technical data

Standard server logs (IP address, browser/user-agent, request timestamps) generated automatically by visiting the website, used for security and debugging;
Basic, non-invasive analytics about feature usage (for example, which dashboard tabs are viewed), where enabled.

3. How We Use Information

To operate core Service features: your Player profile, commands, the website dashboard, chat, trading, poker, and clan systems;
To verify VIP/SUPER VIP membership, NFT ownership, or a cryptocurrency payment you initiated;
To keep the Service secure — detecting abuse, cheating, exploit attempts, or violations of our Terms;
To communicate service-relevant information, such as changes to these policies or important account notices, generally through Discord;
To maintain leaderboards, seasonal rankings, and similar public in-game displays that are a core part of the Service's design.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you've asked to use), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), and your consent (for optional features like linking a wallet or uploading a custom avatar). You can withdraw consent for optional features at any time by not using them.

5. When We Share Information

We don't sell your personal information. We share information only:

Within the Service itself — your username, avatar, and in-game stats are visible to other players by design (for example, on leaderboards, in clan rosters, and in global chat);
With service providers who help us operate the Service, such as our hosting provider, database provider, and blockchain data providers (used solely to verify on-chain payments) — bound to use data only to provide their service to us;
With Discord, as an inherent part of operating a Discord bot, subject to Discord's own Privacy Policy;
When legally required — to comply with a valid legal request, protect our rights, or prevent fraud or harm;
In a business transfer — if the Service is acquired or transferred, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

6. Cryptocurrency & Wallet Data

The Solana blockchain is a public ledger — any transaction you make is inherently visible to anyone, independent of us. We only store the public wallet address and transaction references needed to verify your own purchases or trades. We never ask for, receive, or store your private keys or seed phrase, and the website never requests a wallet connection.

7. Data Retention

We retain Player profile and gameplay data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after, in case you return, unless you request deletion under Section 9. Website session cookies expire automatically after a limited period of inactivity. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and debugging purposes.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — such as signed sessions, access controls, and server-side validation of tier/permission gates — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by the Service.

9. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us as described in Section 13. You can also:

Remove the bot from any server you administer to stop it from reading that server's chat-global channel;
Log out of the website at any time to end your session;
Decline to link a Solana wallet or upload a custom avatar — these features are optional.

Note that deleting certain data (like your Player profile) may permanently remove in-game progress, currencies, and items, which we can't restore.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under Discord's minimum age requirement (currently 13) and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information in violation of this policy, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. International Users

The Service may be operated using infrastructure located in different countries. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in a country other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, announce the change in the Discord server or on the website. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
